Cycling Citrus County

A new cycling group is starting in Citrus County.  We will meet once a month for now and increase as interest grows.  This is a Christian and family atmosphere bicycle group of all ages and abilities.  Road, Recumbent, Mountain and Cyclocross bicycles are all welcome.

Rides

Rides are typically the third Saturday of each month, weather permitting.  We will concentrate on riding local "Rail to Trail" trails with trips to other trails within reasonable distance.

Distance

We will have rides anywhere from 7 miles to a century (for the hard core people).  The goal will be to have groups of similar speed and endurance grouped.

Speed

At present time, we are able to put together groups for under 15 mph average and 16 to 18 mph average.  As our group grows, we will expand this to accommodate  as many ranges as possible.  Hey! are you 20+?

Fees

This is an informal club and there are no fees at this time.  

Purpose

We want to connect with others in our community who share a love of bicycling and the outdoors.  We look forward to times of fun and fellowship in a Christian and family environment.  Rides are for fun and are not geared to racing or race training.  All are welcome.

Next Ride

We have been having some very good rides over the last couple of months. Our next ride is going to be Aug. 28th We will be going to the West Orange Trail. We will be leaving the church at 7am, or you can meet us down there at 8am. If you need more information give me a call or check the link below.

It's almost that time of year again. The 5th Annual "Bike Ride for Human Life" is come up. It will be held on Sat. Sept. 18th, 2010 at 9 am at the Inverness Trail Head. Registration deadline is Wed. Aug 25th.
